Your life is a treasure.
Your loved ones deserve a map.

I bought an “affairs in order” product as a gift. Then never used it.
Christmas 2023, I bought a Next Of Kin Box (Nokbox) and told my kids that it was part of their gifts. I was going to organize my documents so they wouldn’t have to, in case something happened to us.
And then did absolutely nothing with it.
→ In February my father-in-law died.
→ In April my Mom died.
And in May, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
Yes, the bad kind.
Bet you’re thinking I filled it out then…
Still nope.
It took all the way until August when we were making end-of-life decisions before we pulled his intubation tube.
And it occurred to me that I didn't even know the password to his laptop.
Sounds dumb and callous, but besides all the intense fear that I was going to lose him, I was also afraid of how unprepared we were.
So between them bringing him out of sedation and pulling the tube, between the “I love you’s”, I had to ask him really, really practical questions like “what’s your password?” and “should I sell the house?”
Happily he lived and we started filling out our Nokbox. We got our affairs in order.
Everything from which friends to call (Julie - she’ll let the neighbors know. Dan - he’ll tell the college friends…)
…to which subscriptions would need to be canceled (nice bonus $$$ because we promptly ditched some)
…to a checklist of holes we’d identified (updated will, etc.).
Fighting cancer still sucks.
But having our lives mapped out gives us both peace of mind + a clear view of our priorities.

Now I want to help you do the same.
(minus the crisis)

FAQ’s
Q: June is a busy month. Will this take a lot of time?
A: That will depend on 3 things.
* Where you are starting from.
* What your goal ending place is.
* And how complex your financial life is.
If you start and only get 50% of your financial life mapped out, you are 50% ahead of where you started.
Q: Is this legal or financial advice?
A: No this is “what to get organized and how” advice.
You might need to hire someone outside of this class based on what you find. (back taxes? complex investments? credit support?).
But you’ll have a clear idea of what other help you need.
Q: Do I need anything else to participate?
A: File folders to store the documents in. We’ll talk about what kind of system you want (hanging, accordion file, etc.) in the first class.
Q: What does this cost?
A: $25 (Allie) + $59 (Nokbox) = $84
Q: But I already have a financial planner. Do I need this?
A: Yes. Your planner only handles one portion of your financial life. We are going to organize all the parts. Plus do your loved ones know who your planner is?
Q: Refund policy?
A: No refunds. If you aren’t sure this is the right time, then absolutely wait.
Q: Why is this so cheap?
A: This is the first time I’m running the workshop, so I want it to be an easy yes.
