Why hypnosis?
Good question.
Let’s talk about why hypnosis is my favorite option.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Most people describe hypnosis as relaxing, calm, focused, and… surprisingly ordinary. For me it feels a little like being totally engaged in a good movie.
But the movie is you.
You’re aware the whole time. You’re in control.
It doesn’t feel like being “put under.”
It feels like finally having enough space to make a different choice.
How hypnosis & coaching work together
Coaching helps you identify what exactly what you want to change. Hypnosis gets the unconscious mind (where habits live) on board so that change is easier, faster, and durable.
It’s practical.
If you’re saying:
“but I’ve already tried everything”,
then you’re in the right place.
Some common reasons people work with me:
Medical & dental anxiety
Panic before appointments, fear of needles, fear of MRI machines, or even avoiding care when you know you shouldn’t.
Fear of public speaking
Shaky voice, digestive **issues**, blanking out, or missing out on great opportunities because public speaking freaks you out.
Stressful or stuck family dynamics
Getting pulled into the same arguments, people-pleasing, freezing up, or reacting in ways you later regret (why didn’t I just say no to hosting Easter?).
Breaking a bad habit
The moments where you know better — but you’re doing what you don’t want anyway. (How did I end up on IG again?)
This one is my personal favorite: Letting go of things you’ve been mad, sad, or hurt about for years. (years!)
Thoughts that loop. Old moments that still sting. Emotional weight you’re tired of carrying.
Hypnosis interrupts these learned patterns at the level where they actually live — not through willpower, but by teaching your nervous system a new default.
Couldn’t stop ruminating last night?
A focused session designed to take the emotional sting out of specific memories or experiences so that they don’t take up so much mental space.
This works on everything from fear of speaking to family members that make you clench your jaw.
